Engraving
Hand engraving is a popular requested service right now - and for good reason. Using a micro-drill, I etch bespoke designs into almost any suitable surface. Glass, metal, and stone all become stunning canvases for initials, monograms, names, and short personalized messages.

Calligraphy & Lettering
Live calligraphy is an elevated, design-forward way to create connection at your event. Using dip pens, brush pens, and paint markers, I create expressive, decorative lettering that guests love to watch come to life.

Heat Foiling
Heat foiling (or embossing) adds dimensional, metallic shine—gold, silver, and more—to faux or real leather and select fabrics.
Heat foiling is perfect for:

Because surfaces vary, we’ll collaborate in advance to determine the best tools, foils, and colors to achieve the most stunning finish.

How far in advance should I book?
As early as possible! Most clients book 2–3 months in advance, especially around holidays and wedding season. Last-minute requests are always welcome if I have availability.
Rush fees apply as follows:
• 50% rush fee for projects needed within 2 weeks
• 100% rush fee for projects needed within 1 week
If you’re on a tight timeline, just let me know—I’ll always do my best to make it happen.
What types of items can be customized?
Glass, leather, paper, acrylic, metal, ribbon—you name it.
I determine the best method (engraving, calligraphy, or foiling) based on the surface of your item.

If you’re unsure whether your item will work, send me a photo—I love exploring creative possibilities.
Can you source the item for me?
Yes! If you prefer not to shop for the item yourself, I can source high-quality pieces for you. Sourcing and curation can be added to your project proposal.
(Just tell me the vibe, the purpose, and your budget—I’ll handle the legwork.)
How long does the process take?
Turnaround time varies depending on your piece, my current workload, and your timeline.
Most projects are completed within 2–3 weeks, but I can often accommodate quicker turnarounds if needed.
You’ll receive a clear timeline in your proposal after I review your item and design.
Do you offer bulk or corporate gifting?
Yes! Whether you’re looking to personalize 5 items or 100, I can support small-batch and larger-volume gifting. Engraved fragrance bottles, branded keepsakes, holiday gifts, VIP client gifts -you name it. Bulk pricing and timelines vary based on quantity and complexity. I do not handle shipping to the recipient.
What if I’m not sure what design I want?
No worries—most clients aren’t! I’ll guide you through the design process with examples, mockups, and suggestions that fit your item, message, and moment. My goal is to make the experience easy and collaborative.
Where are you based?
I’m based in La Grange, Illinois, and serve clients across Chicagoland and beyond. You can drop off locally or ship your item to my studio.
Note: Alcohol must be dropped off/picked up in person—Letter & Lyse cannot legally ship alcohol.
